Showboating sunshine by joansmor

Showboating sunshine

That is what the tutorial I took today is called. You add sun rays and a lens flare to your picture. I loved how it added something to this picture. Made a nice scrap page with it but wanted to show it off.
Pretty! It looks so realistic!

Well didn't this work out well. I'm impressed that you're doing tutorials - I just muddle through on my own.

@vignouse This was a tutorial with my scrapbooking class. We get 4 each month plus some extra ones through the newsletter. Made a pretty good page that I entered in the Challenge.

A great effect. You certainly got a lot from your tutorial. I can't help but notice how much snow you still have!

@barbarajdonnellan Opps this was taken in February, I just added the sun flare yesterday because I thought it would work on this picture.

It's such a beautiful building and even more so with the accent of the sun rays and flare. A good choice !

@barbarajdonnellan I thought so too.

I love what you did with the sun. It does really add to the shot. Is that your house? Beautiful!

@tara11 No, it currently houses the visitors center in Deering Oaks Park in Portland.

Love the sun flare! The building is gorgeous as well .
What program did you use?
April 14th, 2014
@radiogirl I used Photoshop elements and a couple of filters. It is a layered process.
April 14th, 2014
@joansmor thank you I tried it...........and it's not that difficult!
April 14th, 2014
@radiogirl not really, did you add the rays too or just the flair. You need two copies for the ray affect and a radial blur, a fill layer for color etc.
