Having the how "to's" printed on your camera is nice.
This is great! Is the camera yours? Do you suppose that you could still get film/plates for it?

So cool! I have a camera like this but have not figured out how to open it!

@octogenarian Now I have to backtrack a little. I didn't realize that this was the Polaroid 66 that you showed yesterday. So, I guess, you can still get film for it!

does it work?

@octogenarian No, unfortunately not. I've tried for years but I won't ever let it go since it was my Mom's. I almost fondly remember the smell of the goop that had to be put on a photo after it developed- the smell kinda lingers in the case that I keep the camera in.

@taffy I know that this camera was marketed to the novice photographer so the steps/procedures were a must. I find it funny that the they are there at all. Try sliding the silver latch on the back, if it still is operable.

What a great looking camera and a bonus having the instructions on it too. I could do with that on mine!!

@catsmeowb Might, but can't get film- they no longer manufacturer it.

@megpicatilly This was my Mom's and I have many fond memories of her using it. She took the majority of the family snaps while my Dad concentrated on more formal shots.

How cool! I don't think I could let it go either, even without film for it, with all those family memories.

@mcsiegle I agree, it is part of my heart. I do wish there was film.

Whilst you may not have film, you do have enduring memories.

@s4sayer That actually is more important to me. I hadn't looked at this camera in some time. I enjoyed greatly taking time with my memories.
