Flag Art

Stuck for ideas and went trolling through the old stuff. Taken over 2 years ago but still cool. I do believe that guy has been painted over, shame that.
Cool painting. I think he's doing a thumbs-up but it looks as if he's holding the shadow of the streetlight.

@cjphoto Thank you, I wish they hadn't painted him over.

VML seeing imaginative and inventive graffiti/street art. Redon, about an hour's drive from V has some disused warehouses which give onto riverbank. Their walls have been 'gifted' to the local graffiti artists. Their work stays for month and is then painted over by the over, in turn, by others. We've seen some creative and original graffitti styles and subjects there.

@brett101 Thank you, I guess it must be the high altitude here?

What a great mural. If he has been painted over then it is good you photographed the image as a record.

That could be a bit scary on a dark night.

I think the talent represented by graffiti artists is often times sadly overlooked. I am amazed by so much of what I see. Great photo.

Nice capture, whenever I see street art that I actually like, I photograph it, because you can bet someone will either spoil it or paint over.

@megpicatilly I think that you are so right, glad that I was stuck.

@365projectorgjenfurj Downtown Flag is fairly safe at night but I agree that alien might make me jump about 10feet.

@evalieutionspics Thank you, I completely agree with un-noticed and not recognized art, so many of the graffiti practitioners are not well known but deserve to be.

@taffy Thank you, the alleys are often the best places to find and appreciate cool art.

@stephanies Thank you so much, I agree with you - I know that this isn't City sanctioned work so painting over is probably on the whim of the building owner.
