Aspirations and dreams will never come true in this situation. Each morning, a squirrel or two enjoy taunting my Riley by running down one of the pine trees in my yard and then quickly back up when my pup charges! She is determined to snag one but I don't think she really has much of a chance.
I was surprised how high she can jump. When she runs at the fence trying to catch the squirrel, I've seen her touch the top, at least for a brief second or two. (6 feet)
@onewing She amazes me with her speed, lizards are also a favorite target. I hope she never catches the squirrel, their claws are nothing to take lightly.
@s4sayer Mitzi looks too refined for such things. Riley being a rescue from the Navajo reservation, she was on her own for a while so, who knows what she learned or did.
@jernst1779 Riley thanks you for the fav. She is basically a ham when it comes to being a crazy puppy. I hope she grows out of this when she hits her sophomore years.

@octogenarian She is a nut but gotta love her determination. On our hike today, she caught a toad. She wasn't happy when we made her drop it. Truly appreciate he fav, thank you so kindly.
@olivetreeann She does have that spring of a puppy- we think she's about 2 come this November.
