I had a proper day out today - I went to the optician! It takes ages these days as there are all the fancy photos of your retina etc. As I pointed out to the optician he’s basically cataloguing my degeneration & I’m glad it’s only my eyes that are inspected so closely. Turns out I’m getting increasingly squinty - “well that’s not the word we use”....
Anyway I had stuff to do this morning when the weather was beautiful so I’ve ended up with an indoor photo - we treated ourselves to a new picture at Christmas and now we have to have co-ordinate table decorations.
Weather: mixed
Covid: some excellent vaccine news.
Good thing: catching up with Pooch Perfect tonight while Nigel teaches karate instead of eye rolling through it.
There you go posting spring again, although it did feel more like it today. I should get some flowers. Although that would involve going to the supermarket.... Lovely show of colour.
@fueast a whole £1 worth today! I have one daff open in the garden too - an early variety which should have been out in December but that seems wrong anyway.
Harry was in over an hour the other day...sad when a trip to the optician becomes a day out! I hovered over the daffy in Booths today, I do love a bunch on my kitchen table at this time of the year but I walked on by...no inclination this year. I shall enjoy yours instead! Flower layers!
Ha ha, love the matching to the picture - brilliant! And squinty.....oh, how I sympathise! Ageing is not for wimps, is it? My parents had their first vaccination yesterday (90 and 80 respectively) so that was a bit of progress. They have been shut in the house since last March because of health issues. One step at a time......
Pretty pretty pretty. I can't keep up with all the vaccines ... I just hope whatever my mother's had will still be available for her second dose in March.
@boxplayer yes - the EU not covering itself in glory in my opinion - trying to cover up for some poor decisions made mostly because Macron was willy waving about Sanofi. Let’s hope all sides start making decisions based on what’s best for everyone.
@judithg right well I've been to Waitrose. No daffs at all. Busier than expected. Still I can probably survive for a week now without a supermarket shop.
Pooch Perfect - No way!!!!! I’m binging on Anne with an E
