I put a version of this on Instagram/Facebook and was in trouble with some of you for not posting it here! I didn’t have to go to too much trouble to take this one as it was fairly near my parking spot so I went for the higher hanging fruit yesterday! I’ve seen a few other photos of this snowman and the Mathematical Bridge at Queen’s College but the Pride flag was missing so actually it has gone up in my estimation.
It’s been a noisy day as next door are having tree work done - at one point there was a chainsaw, a branch shredder and a fighter jet all making an absolute racket. In better news I’ve made a really good rhubarb and pistachio cake - new recipe (to me) from The Simple Things magazine and here http://www.the-farmersdaughter.com/blog/rhubarb-pistachio-coffee-cake/5/7/2018.
Weather: freezing all day, blue sky, flakes of snow.
Covid: thanks for your nice comments about dad’s friend - it really brings this tragedy home when the victims stop being statistics. Sadly not the only person we know that it’s taken.
Good thing: a lovely walk with Rebecca catching up on the gossip and featuring a kingfisher dropping into the river for a fish and an excellent flat white from the counter by the Museum of Technology. Felt almost normal.
Mr Snowman has picked the perfect spot to sit....a lovely bridge & a stripy flag! Our neighbours would sympathise with you as it’s been very noisy here too....I like to look at The Simple Things magazine in Booths!
