A photo from my ‘experiment’ walking up Castle Hill to test my back. For those asking it was better on one side (spinal stenosis) & a bit worse on the other (bulging disc)! Anyway this photo is straight- it’s towards the top of the hill and none of the house walls are ‘true’. Cyclists are generally going quite slowly....
Weather: quite warm this morning
Covid: more than 18 million 1st vaccine doses
Good thing: 500kg of food distributed at the Community Fridge today + fruit, veg & other supplies from Fareshare or the church. I’m shattered!
@newbank it’s not a long day (5 hours) but there’s no break and you can’t eat or drink - and we all got PPE faces today - I think because we weren’t frozen! So much respect to those in that all day every day.
A milliner! That is something one doesn't see in the US.
I'm so distressed that you are contending with stenosis and a bulging disc, Judith. That's not fun. And to put in all those hours at the Community Fridge...bless you.
Of course, Castle Hill! Excellent choice. When I was walking yesterday, I was trying to think of where to find hills in Cambridge, rather a challenge! Nice classic shot
@peggysirk not severe in either case but enough to irritate the sciatic nerve when walking at any sort of pace which makes my left leg ache/get heavy. He says the disc can be resolved so the nerve can avoid the stenosis so that will do me. I have to say I can feel it after yesterday’s lifting but it will be ok by tomorrow.
And of course a bicycle! A good excuse to interrupt your ascent to wait for a bicycle! So sorry to hear of your back issues..is surgery in your future?
@peggysirk@kjarn I have googled the milliners house and it is (in normal times) a holiday cottage. I need to have a look at the sign in the window to understand the hat bit...
