We managed to dodge the rain at Anglesey Abbey and in fact forecasts of thunderstorms were unfounded. We could have walked further but anyway it’s always lovely and there’s still some blossom about. I had a productive couple of hours ‘potting on’ in the greenhouse and need to stay focussed and finish the dahlias!

That Indian variant is worrisome. Would love to see the vaccination rate start ramping up here. We seem to have a complacent 50% who have, for whatever reasons, not made vaccination a priority.
@peggysirk I was amazed to read that less than 40% of health care workers in nursing home settings are vaccinated, when they have had access to the vaccines from the beginning. And I am amazed they are allowed to continue to work!
@bkp healthcare worker uptake very low in parts of London though some care home providers are insisting on it and the government has suggested they will be sympathetic in the courts if necessary. Given how the care sector was hit it’s incredible that people are refusing it.
