After a busy weekend sweating in the garden we took to our bikes and headed down to the towpath where the river was truly idyllic. After a very good riverside coffee (the coffee van man has been a lockdown hero) we nipped into Waterstones so I could get the Hold Still photo book. Despite not selecting my contribution 😀it’s still a great record of our first lockdown experience. Anyway we decided we had earned some hammock time in the afternoon!
Weather: glorious
Covid: huge football crowds in Portugal don’t seem entirely wise
Good thing: a really quiet afternoon in the garden
I love the "hold still." Well done. My 14 year old grandson just tested positive. We were all at his house over the weekend. Guess we will see how those vaccines work.
A perfectly wonderful way to spend an afternoon. The Hold Still photo book sounds like the thing to have to commemorate a very challenging time. Though I can't imagine not selecting your submission.
@peggysirk well exactly - they selected 100 out of 31,000 submissions so I feel mine must have been the 101st 😂😂. Some of the best are quick snaps - in fact my favourite so far was taken by a 4 year old playing with her mum’s phone! @kjarn It has been a project of The National Portrait Gallery and the Duchess of Cambridge and her involvement really had a lot of impact I think - very well advertised for starters!
@jamibann many really capture the moment in time - the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge Instagram/YouTube channels also has some lovely interviews with some of the contributors who are very articulate about their photos.
