Well our weekend of doing things we haven’t done for 18 months continued with a train trip into London. The drivers seem to have forgotten that they actually have passengers because we were shaken about all over the place but it was worth it! Adam’s girlfriend had some work in an exhibition at Somerset House. She had three projects around play ideas for young children - one to encourage babies to play with their food as that is how they come to lick their fingers and discover new tastes, one around using waste materials as a framework for mycelia to make child-designed insect houses (quite complicated and somebody had stolen the booklet explaining it all) and one around her ‘washy&friends’ temporary tattoos. It was all very interesting. It was also a very hot day to be in London and we walked a long way but Adam is a member of the Soho House group through his work and we got to recover in some very nice venues amongst all the beautiful young creative people!
Weather: too hot
Covid: quietish in London as all the 20 somethings have either got Covid or been pinged.
Good thing: Virgin Mojito
I love how she is framed in those beautiful windows but also look outside at those amazing buildings! Would love to be there and just take in all of that wonderful architecture.
