We went down to Sussex to see my dad and had a very nice lunch with him and my sister and brother-in-law at a pub where you’d think Covid didn’t exist (which was weirdly a pleasant experience but given the case rates in Cambridge it wouldn’t be pleasant here). The buddleia in my sister’s garden was full of huge Red Admirals which had a habit of flitting off when I pointed my phone at them - moral of the story - always take my proper camera!
Weather: just about dodging the rain - v wet when we got home
Covid: steady but levels high still
Good thing: bought some lovely wool for socks!
I looked them up and supposedly we have them here, but I don’t recall ever seeing one. If only I could get butterfly bushes to grow in my yard. Nice catch!
