Heading to the park for some river shots Monty started tugging at my trouser leg which means, 'We are going hooping and not photographing aren't we?' so I stopped, gave him a hoop to carry and got my camera out to enable speed photography at destination! This lady was enjoying the sun and a can of Special Brew while waiting for the nearby day shelter to open and asked me if she could take a photo of me with the dog. I have to confess I was a little tense when she hung my camera over the wall to take the pic and hoped the can of Special Brew was her first of the day but she got a nice shot of Monty (no intention of including me I noticed!) I asked if I could take her too and she was very keen.
Monty and I are on chatting terms with quite a lot of the folk with drug and alcohol problems who sit around the park - several of them can send Monty into a trance with a bit of stroking and a few quiet words and clearly have advanced dog-whispering skills.
@cookie123@phil_howcroft@ottery09@snowy Thanks everyone - Monty, while not terribly well behaved, is always very good with children and the vulnerable amongst us. She was really chuffed with the pictures - I'll print a couple out in case I see her again.
