In the Fellows' Garden

Well I was outside it on the footpath actually but I couldn't resist this shot - I must have taken it about 20 times last year but never posted it. There's hardly ever anybody in the garden - it's a shame they don't open it up so people can enjoy it but the birds are undisturbed - I've seen firecrests in here as I've walked past. Possibly too much 'Orton' effect but it brightened up a dull day.

@jgpittenger Well originally it was a complicated processing effect but I clicked a button on Picnik - it gives some 'Bloom' and brightens up the colours.

@fueast Yes but at New Hall (now Murray Edwards - they'll let anybody in even the dog). They always keep the gate locked here and only Fellows have keys. :0(

This has inpired me to find out about the Orton effect. :-) Thanks. I've found a good tutorial for those of you that don't use Picnik - http://photography.about.com/od/developingandprinting/ss/ortoneffect.htm
The instructions were clear enough to enable me to do it with Serif Photoplus.
