Rainbow

The lamp-posts on Jesus Green have been yarn-bombed. I couldn't believe it when this chap with matching bag cycled past!
Too funny. Perhaps he is the phantom knitter!!!

He's on the payroll. Must be!!

In latest news Preston Council have lost the plot and apparently are going to knock down the markets too. That doesn't make any sense does it?
December 17th, 2012
@fueast No no no no noooooo!! Now that's just crazy- I assume they don't mean the old outside ones? That would be a crime.
December 17th, 2012
@judithg Please investigate - just reading the LEP story but it isn't clear if it includes the outside one. It says relocate the markets so maybe it does. Seems like 6 people are making these decisions. Criminal.
December 17th, 2012
Great timing - you do find them don't you?
December 17th, 2012
@fueast We need Pat back from NZ! It seems like a bizarre solution to every problem building - oh we'll we'll demolish it then! How does that save money and what about all the traders? It sounds like the indoor markets to me - surely they'd never get away with touching the outdoor. But most of the indoor traders are food - they aren't going to go outside. You wouldn't mind if they were doing it because they had some fabulous redevelopment plans but it sounds like they are saying 'oh this is costing us - better bulldoze...'
December 17th, 2012
@judithg Thats exactly it. Just phoned my mum but she was no more in the know except to say that there have been protests from traders. Short termism. As promoted by this bloody stupid government.
December 17th, 2012
@fueast Well wait till I tell my mum - she'll have a fit. Still - good job on putting lots of little entrepreneurs on to benefits Preston Council.
