I nipped into the Farmers' Outlet this morning for some beef from 'Woodward's Farm' (they deliver all around the area and I can highly recommend them - I tend to go for the cheaper things like brisket and mince and both are excellent) and came out with all sorts of things. It's on a very busy junction and there's an expensive parking meter but it's still good value, and as they say, they don't throw food away. Tesco actually wasted that much in six months.
I really like the way you've taken a straight on shot and cropped it to the actual frontage of the shop. I considered this shot the other day on my way to a meeting, but wasn't sure when angle to go for. Lovely colours, and good to get the figure in the doorway.
This is a wonderful and colourful composition - Fav. I also like the sentiment about food wastage. I would much rather support local farmers and avoid Tesco like the plague!
A great shop & doesn't it look inviting, who could pass this to go to Tesco!! I bet the staff are super friendly too & I love becoming a regular in our local shops!!!! Apparently Tesco & others seem to have abandoned the BOGOF scam at last.
hey letterbox ...cool...i mentioned in Pat's shot @happypat are they expecting a rush on pumpkins....oh and i also mentioned in pats shot, we used to do turnip lanterns in lancashire back in the day...you never saw a pumpkin !
@phil_howcroft Absolutely right. Used to take my dad hours hollowing them out - and then we would go round to Mrs Brennan's with them and she would pretend to be scared and then make my dad a cup of tea. We never dreamed of asking for 'A treat'!
