I chose the right weather window to take Monty out to day. Makes a change to set off when the sky is looking leaden and find on arrival that there is a beautiful blue sky. So you'd be forgiven for wondering why the blue sky doesn't feature... I took quite a few shots I liked today - this one was taken in to the sun just after I'd parked up in Newnham. You may be seeing some of the others at some point - or I may 'save' them - I've got another whole year of originality to capture!
I went to a really interesting talk by Helen Macdonald last night. She has written an autobiographical book called 'H is for Hawk' which tells the story of her response to the sudden death of her father (a well known press photographer). She must be the only person in the world that reacted to grief by buying a goshawk. No idea when I'll get round to reading it though as I have a bit of a queue.
Lovely tones here. I did exactly the opposite dog walk/weather-wise yesterday. Came home drenched. (So sick of washing the kitchen floor - this new dog has feet like dish mops!)
