Gulf Fritillary Caterpillar by k9photo

Gulf Fritillary Caterpillar

“A season of loneliness and isolation is when the caterpillar gets its wings. Remember that next time you feel alone.” (Mandy Hale, The Single Woman: Life, Love, and a Dash of Sass) Another very spiky caterpillar. One of the attendants in the butterfly garden said the spikes are soft and just for a show to scare off predators.
Fabulous capture and narrative.

I get 3 of these lovelies in my garden eating my Desert Rose every summer. Do I mind? No, because they only eat milkweed plants and turn into beautiful creatures.

@shutterbug49 the attendant picked one up off the ground so people wouldn't step on it. I did not touch it.
