Another view of the apply named "The Ocean", a large basin on the Stroudwater Canal where the boats used to tie up at night. All the land to right was also part of this waterway, but has now overgrown and now homes for many birds and animals.
The canal should go straight on with the towpath, but the bridge under the railway was filled in with only a footpath tunnel left for walkers, it's down to be reinstated with the canal restoration, not a moment to soon can I add.
