Firstly I'm sorry to be giving you another Look around the village again, the weather is absolutely terrible and it has been raining constantly for the last 48 hours, I'm beginning to quack and I'm sure I'm getting webbed feet,
You have seen many old houses in the village so lets look closely at a more modern one, would you believe this has an unusual history as well. The property stopped with the big house on the right with the village shop sticking out the front, that's the white windows.
They decided to build a little supermarket for the village which you can see in front of you, unfortunately after a year they realised it was to big for the village and sold this bit off as a single property.
I bought this in 1983, yes it's my home and has been for 31 years and the inside was converted into a small bungalow. I've added the large porch come sun room on the front and the ornate fencing, Look closely you can see some of my teapots. The fence on the right separates my place from next door.
So there you go, encourage by Phil Cameron to be brave and put my place on here, will you do the same For my friends around the world, people ask why is it called a BUNGALOW in the UK. Well I tell them that I was having a house built but the builder ran out of bricks, so I said never mind BUNG-A-LOW roof on it. (Wink)
I was reading along, thinking about the fact that you find the greatest houses to capture. Then I scroll down to see that it's yours! I love it! I'm on my tiny phone and can't wait to see the details better when I get home from work. Thanks so very much for sharing! I'll post another of mine as soon!
Very nice home, but I kind of expected something weird in the front yard knowing your sence of humor. lol. It has been rainging here also so I understand trying to take a photo. But looks like you have gotten your ducks in a row a they say.
@philcameron59 Thanks Phil, it was your idea and as it was so wet I just nipped out my front door and took this, rushing back into the warmth afterwards.
@miata2u Peggy if I could put something unusual in my front garden I would, but I think the local nighbour watch would soon have something to say - What about a brightly coloured Totom Pole.
Thanks again Heather - I needed a little giggle this morning - Bung a low roof! Very clever :) Nice to see your house. i have mine on the hit list to photograph too- just hasn't happened yet!
Such a charming house. Just perfect. I like that you have lots of windows and light. We have lots of windows, too. I just finished cleaning them...maybe less would have been better. LOL
Bun a low comment made me smile
@kathiecb Clean windows, yes I shoul sometime but not in this weather, thanks for the comment and I'm glad you had a giggle.
