It's flowers today and these Hollyhocks seem to grow everywhere. I spotted these growing out of the gutter right opposite my home, and pretty they look to.
My neighbour also had quite a few growing along the pavement outside her garden, unfortunately the local council sent a crew along to clear them away, spoil sports.
I'd be gutted of the council cleared the hollyhocks. They do a good job of ripping off the tops of the shrubs etc around here. These hollyhocks are lovely.
Lovely shot Heather. They do seem to self seed in the strangest places. The ones in my picture a couple of days ago have a notice over them asking the council to leave them alone! It seems to work.
