My flowery friend husband spends a lot of time in his large garage/workshop making things for the house or garden. He has a best friend that waits every morning at the garage door for it to be opened. (Garage, this is definitely a man cave).
All day long this blackbird comes in and out to spend time with him, often standing on his workbench just inches away, waiting to be fed sultanas.
Here he waits on the handle of the lawn mower and has become so tame you can walk calmly up to it without it being scared off. It's just like me in a way, I'll do anything for a free meal, perhaps not mow the lawn though.
How i would love this type of thing.....they come close every morning when i put out the feed but the bird table roof is as close as it is....and that's a collared dove. Love your story too....I have a woman cave and although i have seen evidence of bird visitors never when I'm in there! fav!
Oh I have so much difficulty commenting on these birds! They are definitely a pest over here bossing our native birds. So I'll say what a good composition! BTW - the cement has finally all gone and now I'll get the cLements lotion you actually meant :)
Would love to have a bird as tame as this but never will, not with a houseful of dogs. I'm making a list of jobs you can do in return for that free meal.
