Get off the Feeders by ladymagpie

Get off the Feeders

After another night of disturbed sleep, hacking and coughing, I've turn into Old Mother Hubbard, you know the one:

Old Mother Hubbard
Went to the cupboard,
To give the poor Magpie a treat
But when she went there,
The cupboard was bare,
And so the poor Magpie had nothing to eat..

OK it was altered, but the consequences was that I had to go shopping. I made sure I spread my germs around so that others can suffer like me. The sun was shining so I thought I would take a picture on my way home, unfortunately it was raining when I came out so that put pay to the photograph.

As I carried the shopping indoors I heard a lovely bird singing it's heart out nearby, so I grabbed my camera and as soon as I zoomed in, it flipping well bugger off. Another failure at today's photograph.

Sitting on my settee, I had raised the front blinds in my porch to see if a lovely little birdie flew in. I waited and waited until suddenly this pigeon landed to try and pinch the seeds. I had chased it off twice yesterday so I thought that before I made it into a pigeon pie to fill Old Mother Hubbard's cupboard, it will just have to do for my daily picture. View with the dark surround.

Thank you all for your kind words about me being ill, as my friends said, you haven't lost your sense of humour.

Great story!

What a delightful capture, lovely POV and a nice crisp image. A lovely pigeon - all birds are equal but some are more cute than others.
