The sixth day of my nature challenge and like the weather I've had a change from plants to animals and birds. We are have some sudden downpours today that has not just caught me out while shopping, but also has effected the birds on my feeders.
I just like the expression on this beautiful Goldfinch as it looks at me through the rain covered window and seems to be requesting an umbrella so that it can eat in the dry.
As you know I've tried to beat the larger birds like the jackdaws and starlings. Well a week later I've now failed as the jackdaws have worked out they can fly directly at the tray, bounce it hard with their feet making the feed jump off the tray onto the floor. I will win one day if I have to buy Jackdaw free new feeders.
So today's nature topics are the birds and the weather. Thank you all for you comments and FAV's yesterday with the lilac, really appreciated.
I think that little bird has you wrapped round it's finger, I bet you would give it an umbrella willingly! We have had rain this morning here too but sun this afternoon.
