Many years ago there were millions of horses working hard for transport around the world. They carried goods and people as there weren't motorised vehicles in those days.
Most stopping places, such as a church in the background, had water troughs to refresh the horses before their return journey. Today they are not needed so what do you do with them.
This one is in a local village near my home and has been decorated with plants and flowers, always kept neat and tidy. Must look for more around the area.
