When I haven't been out and about with my camera, there are always the sights from my patio; you know the hoverfly on the Kaffir plant on the bees get the nectar from the same flowers. Well insects have stayed away today so it had to be something else.
We have a gliding club on the hill above my village so I often see them soaring above my bungalow. This one was going round in circles and must have been rising on thermals, I'm sure there is a technical term for that.
I would like to make it clear, I was not lying on my back on the patio, yes I can get down there but would need a crane hire company to get me back up.
I'm sure that gliding is fun, but you won't get me up in the sky unless there is an engine driving it, that includes balloons. Instead I'll just stay on my feet and wave to the pilot. Now when my young neighbours read this they will be steaming, they help up at the club and have their own gliders, perhaps they are in this one.
I'm with you on this one! Not unless there's an engine. A powerful one. I do dream to fly a helicoper or to fly in one of those stealthy magnific army planes. The black ones.
My brother used to do paragliding - also no engine. One day he fell. Luckily he met a tree on the way down. He is fine. Walking and stuff... Sicko! No engine...
