Now this is something different, and before you anticipate my ending, I won't be giving you a link to the song called Blowing in the Wind, as if I would.
I was surprised to see my lovely young neighbours had put a few of these windmill around their lawn, well that’s a fib because I knew the reason. They certainly weren't producing electricity due to the predicted increase in power costs in the UK, nor were they holding a birthday party for me later this month.
They have a major problem, and parts of their lawn is rising up and not looking good. I first noticed the problem when my big ugly Brother was mowing their lawn for them, he does this for others in the village, and he kept stamping on the ground to get it level again.
It's a big problem from a very small animal, yes it's a MOLE that is digging around under the lawn. I remember as a small child that my Father had the same problem in our garden, and us children used to dig all the channels out and run our toys or marbles along them
Now I've heard that a way to get rid of these moles is to poke these windmills in their trails and when the wind blows them around it sets up vibrations and scares of the mole. I'm not sure if this just an old wives tale or not, but can you come up with a better idea. Please don't suggest sitting out on the lawn all night with a loaded shotgun and blast them when they poke their heads up.
Now I promised you I wouldn't play you a link to the song "Blowing in the Wind", because I'm giving you another link:
If you prefer, you may replace the loaded shotgun with a shovel and hit the mole - living in a hole - on the head with it.
I am a moke and i live in a hole... that cracked me up...
I love this idea of encouraging the moles to move on. I really, really hate that people kill them. It makes me very, very angry. Thank you for telling me about this idea and thank you for making sure “I am a mole……….” goes round and round in my head for the rest of the day 🤦♀️
I could send you a mole trap but that won’t go down well these days! I’ve never heard of the windmill way but nothing surprises me in this age of correct options! The moles are a nightmare in a field as the soil gets into the hay or silage & not good for cows!
I am a moke and i live in a hole... that cracked me up...
