Joshi

I think he is out of the woods :)
In the afternoon, I drove to the shelter to pick Joshua up. He was already (or still) in the transport box, so it was easy for me to take him "home". He was hissing like a mixture of snake and tiger! No wonder, he was still afraid and didn't know what would happen next.
He got a yummy meal in my garden (I put some fresh raw beef in front of the transport box, and he actually ate instead of running away.)
Only a little bit of his left ear has been cropped, I'm sure it doesn't impair his body language. The wound is very small with a bit dry scab.
After dinner, he was grooming a while, then he disappeared. The people from the shelter and the vet did a good job! I'm grateful they take care of the strays now. 16 years ago, when I found a feral cat family, nobody felt responsible to help. Fortunately times are changing. Meanwhile it is required in many cities and communities to castrate and mark cats, if they are allowed to go outside.
I am happy Joshi is back in his familiar territory. This was not the cat with the microchip then? I think he will forgive and forget and it is better not to have more homeless kittens. Take good care, Joshi!

@gardenfolk Many thanks for reading and commenting :)
The little tomcat with the microchip is a new one, I haven't shown a photo of him yet. But Joshi also has an ident number now, the vet microchipped him on this occasion. You're so right...it breaks my heart when I think about all those stray cats :'( The situation could be much better if everyone would neuter his animals. Winter is coming, and street life is a very hard life.

@lastrami_ So much better to spay and neuter and be responsible than to have too many sweet kittens born with no home or euthanized. It all breaks my heart. You are doing your part and what you can to help...
