I noticed the lines and patterns in this courtyard while waiting for my son to arrive to celebrate his birthday in the nearby restaurant. We had a wonderful Italian meal and a lovely evening.
Working in 'black & white' this last week or so has really opened my eyes to the range of tones, texture, contrast that are available in monochrome. This shot was first converted to B&W using a blend of colour channels, and then a light warm filter applied.
@bdb3471@jenrobcarr :D...I am absolutely laughing out loud with a tear in my eye now because of your comments!! (shhh, don't mention it to anyone, but..... as I neared the corner I was focusing on the back of the bench, and was about to turn around to sit down!! That is what prompted me to look closely at the patterns & the frame of the seat, which led to me taking the shot! DOH!) :D
Don't know if sitting on this bench chair is a great option!
