As the Depression ended, my Grandfather bought a truck to support his family by home delivering blocks of ice. Because of the heat, in summer this meant starting at 3 AM and entering peoples unlocked back doors and quietly placing the ice in the kitchen ice-chest (this was before refrigerators were invented!) as the occupants slept. As a child, my mother helped with the deliveries and went on to school after the days work was completed.
Many clients did not have enough money to pay their accounts, and like others at the time,my Grandfather often accepted bartered goods in exchange for his ice. One of those bartered goods that he kept for the remainder of his life - a medicine chest - full of some amazing treasures such as Dr. William's Pink Pills for Pale People!
This was just the thing if you were "....pale, bloodless and miserable"... it could make you "....robust, happy and full of life"

It was interesting to think about presenting this in a 'simple' vintage style without using monochrome, or SC. I adjusted saturations, colour channels, contrasts and diffusion to try to achieve a soothing colour focus on the pink in the shot.
A frustrating week - one where it is hard to 'focus' on taking my shots or spending time viewing your projects. Sorry all. :(
@ltodd - Definately, i think we've all been there. Its hard to find the inspiration sometimes, but it's good to know that the wonderful people on here have all had it happen to them too. :) xx
