I have never really photographed mist or fog terribly well, so I stopped at the picnic grounds on the way to work this morning to get some practice. With only one vantage point to stand, and having to shoot almost directly into the sun on my left, I had taken 2 shots before I noticed the bonus element of a hot air balloon emerging from the fog. :D
The light was very grey and this shot has not had any desaturation applied. I've given it a go, and any suggestions on how to expose for fog will be welcomed!

I can't think of any suggestion to improve this shot, it's just great - that balloon is the finishing touch - sureyou didn't photoshop it in!!! - only joking!
