fuligo fashion

My get-Pushed-9 challenge from Mel (@emjay8 ) was to photograph smoke. After an hour with my head covered in incense, trying to find something a little different, I started capturing various 'figures'.

Here I have used a free lightroom invert preset ( http://blogs.oreilly.com/lightroom/2007/03/free-lr-adventure-invert-solar-1.html); and apart from adjusting hue, and minor sharpening and softening of some areas, this is the composition as captured.

Fuligo is the Latin word for 'soot' and fuliginous once described noxious bodily vapors. It can be used to describe things such as dense fogs, malevolent clouds, or overworked chimney sweeps (should you happen to come across one!).

This is really cool! It looks like a fashion model sketch. Do you see it??

Oooohhh! That's probably where you came up with the title! doh!

@m9f9l I thought I had better put it in the title just in case no one saw anything apart from a lot of smoke. :)

Wow, I think it's very close to perfect! And this coloring is amazing! It's very hard for me to extract the smoke in Photoshop and give it a color.

This is incredible. I see a figure, a tall slender woman in a figure hugging dress with a wrap around her shoulders and arms and short hair. Wow. I love this. Earned a follow and fav.

@seanoneill Thanks Sean. - and I bet I would never be able to recreate another figure exactly like this if I tried for a very long time!!

@ltodd Which is how it should be, but I bet you'd create something equally as amazing, but different.
