@julieco I am really glad you see the link' Julie - I almost put it in my caption that Picasso was the first to develop the 'duality' style, but thought I might sound a bit 'naff' linking my image & Picasso'!! :) http://www.terraingallery.org/Picasso-Dora-Maar-MS.htm has some really interesting comments about the meaning though. Last weeks push of 'darkness' has really had me thinking about how we 'see' things...
@grammyn It does need an editing program that uses layers Katy and I found it a bit confusing at first, but it was not not long and complicated - the tricky part is placing the two shots on top of each other in the best position & angles, then I used the eraser on the top layer to insert the features of the lower image. I used PSP & it was the first time I have used an alpha channel to create a mask, but then I used the 'less-correct' eraser tool to keep the process as simple & quick as possible!
@judithg thanks Judith - :) I know exactly what you mean - my eyes did the same thing - moving back & forward from feature to feature - trying to 'reconcile' the image for the brain to process!
@ozziehoffy ooohhh...go slowly, keep your sense of humor & try to have more fun than frustrations!! :)) @salza no problems at all! - let me know if you have a go - I'd love to see your edit. :)
@lyno oh totally ROFLOL at that! :)))) (& Andrew will be soooo happy to hear your compliment- this is now also his facebook profile pic! )
Luckily for me there are about 30 people working in our office, and I am honoured that so many of them have agreed to help me out. I tape a copy of their 365 shots up on their office doors & they all seem genuinely happy with their photos (even the 'way-out' ones like this shot) which I actually do think is kinda' nice of 'em. :))
