spot the tourist icons

My get-pushed challenge this week was from from Peter de Graaff, who asked me to take a photo or photos that characterised the design of the planned city of Canberra - the capital city of Australia that was designed by Walter Burley Griffin, an American landscape architect.

If you (are interested!!) enlarge this shot (taken from the roof of Parliament House), and see then entire planning of the Parliamentary triangle - from the left...Commonwealth Avenue, Captain Cook fountain, National library, Old parliament House, War Memorial (Prince Charles & Camilla were there at the exact time I took this shot), Lake Burley Griffin, Anzac Parade, the American Eagle at Russell, and Kings Avenue.

Bingo!

Urban architecture is definitely not my thing, so (Peter) I am pleased this is the last shot of this challenge! :))
Beautiful shot! I enjoyed looking back through your photos and I am now following.
