My get-pushed challenge from Miss Mercy (@missmercy) this week was to tempt her with shiny pretty things - "jewellery, crystal and copper and their beautiful sparkles and reflections" because she loves looking at, and collecting these objects.
This object has plenty of reflections, but I wonder if Miss Mercy would think it too contemporary to be considered collectable?
I like the intensity and abstract colours, but I have no idea if the object is desirable or valuable.
Any ideas what it might be? (apart from being blurry due to a drastic crop that is !!)
You really do have some stunning pieces. :) I'd agree that it looks like opal because of the various coloured flecks. The vivid green colour also reminds me of uranium glass. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uranium_glass

In terms of value, I always go with 'it's worth what you're willing to pay for it' as one man's treasure is another man's trash. Some of my favourite pieces are just costume jewellery but I'd rather have them than some incredibly expensive piece that does nothing for me.

In terms of value, I always go with 'it's worth what you're willing to pay for it' as one man's treasure is another man's trash. Some of my favourite pieces are just costume jewellery but I'd rather have them than some incredibly expensive piece that does nothing for me.
