It is really cold and storming (still!) and the heating is struggling, but editing a photo while I watch the Tour De France is a lovely way to pass the time.
Light painted with my mini solar LED torch, and a few added masked texture layers.
This looks great Lyn. I love lighting.
My attempt at this yesterday was dismal. The torch that I used was way too bright and just made my subject glow in the dark. I'm off to get a new torch today
@deborah63 yep - only need a tiny weeny one, you probably have a 'you-beaut ' work-sized one (which I need in these power failures rather than my tiny solar one from Katmandoo). I got a small round one (4 LEDs) from a $2 shop that works OK too.
@grammyn 4 secs or so in the dark ( I leave the tv on sometimes), iso @100 , manual focus first while light is on, then turn off the room light. Just pulse the torch on & off from about 18 inches away. 'Sweeping' in an arc from a bigger distance (like you are spray painting the area) gives softest shadows.
The lighting is beautiful I especially like that you captured the shadows and the highlights. I am trying to figure out where/what your light source is...
