So lovely in every way... with the little yellow flowers on the branches in the foreground... and the amazing dark sky above the rainbow, a lighter sky below...
@kerosene I thought it kinda odd too - but maybe it was because the sun setting down fairly low ( I have since corrected my camera to daylight savings time) this is pretty much sooc as I was puzzled by the two tone grey as well but every shot I took has the same pronounced difference. I wonder what caused it?
@kerosene you prompted me to Wikipedia rainbows & bow is it complicated science!! The dark area is called 'Alexanders Band' as there must have been a second rainbow above the dark area. ( I was trying to shoot around the telegraph wires so missed it). There are extra 'rainbows' on the bottom of the curve too. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rainbow - gosh and I thought rainbows were just very pretty refractions!
