I walked to the duck pond at sunset today so I could test my new 1.4 tele-extender. I found it changes the autofocus time and image contrast of the 70-200 lens, so I need plenty of practice before heading off with it on holidays.
@Weezilou Thanks Louise :) I messed around for quite a while & could not get the focus, or the exposure, right for most of the shots I took. This was the second to last image I took, but I guess, as with anything new, it will take a bit of practice before it fees more natural to shoot with.
@ltodd Your results prove it will be worth the effort! Like many of us, I have a long string of similar images when I have something in mind, but I've yet to have anything THIS beautiful as "my second-to-last"! That lens has found its way into capable hands!
@maggiemae it is a sulphur crest Maggiemae, but theangle hides the crest, although I did have to look at the breast closely vecause it had more pink in it than usual too. Maybe he had been playing in the red mud? :-D
