Gorgeous white bloom with nice detail and focus... we spent the morning at Gibbs Gardens and were there at 9 am when they opened... not many people there and it was amazing... we spent a lot of time in the Japanese Gardens. In May I plan on doing flowers, flowering trees, etc. from my various trips to Gibbs & Smith Gilbert Gardens along with flowering trees around us... the flowering peach trees have been so beautiful this year.
@marlboromaam thanks so much Maggie... I’m still trying to finish editing my Big Bend photos... I’m kind of enjoying the process of a longer review of images.
@kvphoto I cannot find any camera experts around here that will talk to me about a newer camera. They look at me like I'm from another planet when I tell them I despise mirrorless cameras. You wouldn't know anyone I could call and ask do you? LOL! No search engine will pull up my wish list in a DSLR.
I can honestly say that had I bought a Canon DSLR and not a Canon EOS R mirrorless I’d likely still be shooting with a Canon camera. Now I have a Sony mirrorless camera and like the way it focuses much better... the issue I had with the Canon R. I do miss the optical viewfinder so much but dearly love the focus peaking... especially when shooting macro. I’d suggest chatting or calling B&H photo... they have been very helpful to me when I’ve had questions. What are you looking for?
@kvphoto Something similar to my Kodak, but NOT over the smallest four figures. Need it to shoot at least 1080 video too. Optical viewfinder and preferably an optical zoom lens. Need to shoot far away and really closeup. Must have usb port for download to Mac. Wanted something with around 20 mp or more with a little sharper focus. Something that acts like a film camera with auto and manual settings. I guess I'm asking for the moon. LOL!
@marlboromaam I think your skills are way beyond the caliber of this camera and its lenses. Kate had this camera as a starter and she learned a lot of basics with it before sending the whole kit (including a macro lens) to her niece who wanted to learn photography. Is there any way we could exchange email addresses so we can talk more at length? You could post your email in a comment and once I have it then you could delete it... you game? If you want to see some photos taken with the camera look back to the beginning of Kate’s first year or look at her niece’s pics... she just joined 365 recently and I see a huge improvement in her skills. https://365project.org/heidil/365/2021-04-16
