I grew up in a valley. This was taken from the 'dark side'. I grew up in the house to the centre left and the rest was my playground. No mobile phones .. we just came back when we were hungry, cold or wet. The small ghyll behind the house was our water supply, the fields to the right were great for 'polybagging' (sledging with farm feed bags filled with straw) and our swimming pools were in the beck just out of sight in the fells to the right ... happy days!
