Among the little things that I love are miniature perfume bottles. Whenever I travel, I always search the airport's duty-free shops for these bottles.
This is one of my favorite miniature perfume bottles: Jean Paul Gaultier's 2006 version of Classique. Not only does the sweet floral scent mellow over time into something sensual and womanly, the bottle is the voluptuous figure of a woman. How beautiful is that! I love these curves. I wish I had curves like that.
(But I bear a greater resemblance to the stick insect than a curvy woman.)
What a beautiful "glow" you got on this one. I didn't realize that you could find such great items at the duty-free shops. The wonderful lighting and background set off the bottle (ahem! curves) well. :)
What a gorgeous bottle! Very unique. It is funny because curvy women would like to be less curvy and women who are less curvy want more curves. We are always so tough on ourselves!
A big "THANK YOU!" to everyone who visited and left a comment! I appreciate all the feedback.
@karenann: A "glow"? *writes note to self to refrain from going crazy with adjusting the contrast levels next time* Heh. I love duty-free shops. Sometimes they carry stuff that is exclusive to duty-free shops, so you can't get them in the regular stores outside of the airport.
@Courtney: The white background in most of my photos is actually just a piece of white bond paper. I use whatever's handy. (Not very professional at all! 8D )
@Pyrrhula: Collecting miniature bottles of perfume can certainly be an expensive hobby. I make sure only to collect what I can afford. I'm also stubborn, so I won't buy anything I don't like the looks of, no matter how popular or rare it is. Actually, the most expensive hobby I have are my BJD boys. But I totally enjoy them.
@MariaB: JPG perfumes are cool! (My camera makes things look good. Very little to do with me. Heh.)
Again, I want to thank everyone for stopping by. Your encouragement keeps me going. I do hope I'll be able to finish this project. *takes a look* My goodness, so many days to go! *feels intimidated* Again, thank you, all!
That is a very beautiful bottle. A great keepsake to look at and photograph. I am intimiated by all the days of the project too, but do find it easier to keep going because of the support of many on here (including you :)). We are kindof at the same stage in our project.
Thank you all, again! So glad you're enjoying the photo and bottle!
@Leah: Thank you! I like pretty bottles. They don't even have to be perfume bottles. Pretty glass bottles would make me smile too. About the project... that makes two of us intimidated souls! Heh. I guess the only thing left to do is to support each other, and also everyone who supports us. Together, we might make it. 8D
Love the way you captured that bottle
