I visited a Buddhist temple yesterday and spotted these statues of little monks on the premises. They are small stone statues, barely knee-height, and are in various poses of meditation. Looking at them gave me a sense of peace and quietude.
Great composition and contrast between the textures of the statue and the grass. Wonderful clarity, Livia. I love the peaceful look on his face and the serenity that he conveys. Beautiful photo. :)
Happy New Year Livia, I am so looking forward to your photos this 2012. I have been playing catch up today and enjoyed looking through lots of photos. I like your new camera, hope you have lots of fun with it. Your Chanel posting made me smile, I am a No 5 girl and have been for well lets say a lot of year's now:0) My bottle stays firmly in the box, coming out twice a day when I use it, maybe I am missing a trick here???
Thank you, everyone! So happy you've stopped by to make the acquaintance of a little monk. The more I look at him, the more I want to revisit the temple to see all the others as well. Peace to all!
@megsy It's the Bright Hill Temple also known as Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery. The biggest one in my country. Thank you for stopping by to take a look at my photograph!
And, again, thank you very much!
