Spotted the gazillion dewdrops on the grass and realized I couldn't resist taking a few shots. The morning light was beautiful.
This is Elephant Grass. It's a tall, tufted grass that can grow to 3m (10ft) or more. I took this shot at eye level, so the grass was about my height. I'm only about 1.65m (about 5'4"). Elephant grass isn't native. It was introduced from Africa. Now it grows wild in nature parks and open places.
There is a larger version if you'd like to see details. 8)
I love how you got it so spotlit against a black background. It isn't native here either but now grows everywhere. Especially hills that had been logged.
The light is perfectly utilized by these dewy reflections to highlight everything great about this plant stem, native or not it's working it out beautifully!
A great, big, dew-drenched, sunlit and bright "THANK YOU!" to everyone for stopping by! I love finding plants and flowers all covered in tiny dewdrops. They look so pretty.
Thank you so much for your constant support. It is very encouraging to me, and I am grateful. Again, thank you.
Oh yeah, we get a lot of Elephant grass back home...the biggest pain to cut down, with a cutlass!!! Lighting is absolutely gorgeous and amazing closeup :)
