Another awesome thing about jumping spiders is that there is a great variety to their form and color. Most have compact shapes and short legs. But take this guy here. He not only has long sexy legs, he's got a pretty punk "hairdo" for a spider, no? XD
He's a male Epeus jumping spider. Only about 5mm (0.19in) long. He's green and brown all over with hairs on his legs and a white moustache above his mouth. And, as is typical of jumping spiders, has large front eyes.
Isn't he cute? He was a cool dude. Unlike most other jumpers I meet, that either scramble away and hide or jump forward to check out my lens, this little guy just watched me. He moved when I moved, but never tried to run away or approach me. He just watched, very attentively, very patiently.
Every jumper I meet seems to have a different personality, and that's why I love them! 8D

He has huge eyes ( all the better to see you with my dear ) and has wonderful long legs, he was probably checking out his reflection in your lens LOL. and liked what he saw.

Neat! Never seen a long-legged jumping spider before. I do like his punk hairstyle... I think those smaller outside eyes look like eyebrow ring studs. :) Great pic!
