You have reached a new level of Macro...now you are in the microscopic X-Ray range....wow...Biology students should begin to check your photos...Fantastic ...A Fav...
Wonderful detail....how did you ever get so close, you amaze me. And I have even more respect for your jumping spider pics...I finally saw one here (we have little zebra striped ones) It wasn't stopping to see what I was about and not a single one was focused worth beans! Don't know how you do it so consistently!
@cindymc I use a Sony NEX-C3 which is mirrorless interchangeable lens camera. It's small and light! 8) I do use a Sony 30mm f/3.5 macro lens with it. But if you're thinking of getting a macro lens, get one with a longer focal length (say, 90-100mm) so that you have a greater working distance. The one I have requires that I go really close to my subjects and most bugs aren't tolerant of being, um, bugged. XD
@myautofocuslife - Thanks for sharing that information. I hope to get a new camera next year and I want to be able to take really good macros. But, I'm like you, I prefer a smaller camera. I just don't want to lug aroung all that weight. Love this picture!
Another amazing shot Livia. I was just in Singapore over the weekend and kept looking for people creeping around in the gardens shooting bugs, in the hope it would be you. I love Singapore. Very humid though :)
@stuckinoz Too hot and too humid! I'm out at 7am and done by 10am. I can only stay outdoors for so long, haha, I always feel like I'm on the brink of a heatstroke. Hope your short time in Singapore was enjoyable. 8)
A great, big, surprising and heady "THANK YOU!" to everyone! I appreciate your visit and comments. Dragonflies are pretty amazing, aren't they? I'm fascinated by them. Again, thank you. I am grateful for your encouragement. Just 35 days to go!
Good job.
This and others are first rate.
love the colors
Your description made me laugh. ;-)
