Proverb: "Words are like the spider's web: a shelter for the clever ones and a trap for the not-so-clever."
But this tiny spider (4mm) does not spin webs to catch its prey. It's a crab spider. It waits patiently, remaining very still, and will ambush prey that comes along. Its front, two pairs of legs are particularly longer and stronger, and will grab and hold on to prey bigger than itself.
Fabulously composed Livia, I love the lines on the leaf that look like they have formed a web for the spider. Now am I looking at his backside or his face her? I am guessing his backside?
I like the proverb. I am not so keen on spiders but these little ones are not too scary! I like the angle on it, I am amazed at how small they all are.
A great, big, quiet and patient "THANK YOU!" to everyone for stopping by! I think he's cute. I wish you could see him in real life, so tiny! Thank you so much for your constant support. I do appreciate it. Just 17 days to go!
