Droplet by netkonnexion

Droplet

Experiments are always a difficult thing to chance your arm on... anyway, here is one of my works-in-progress. Let me know if you think it is any good. Better still tell me how I can improve it.

Hmmm! After some thought, maybe it looks better in the magnifying glass.

You can see a simular shot without the oil droplet in my other album here...

I would like to know which you like best.

I am still working on the technique for this. However, apart from a crop this is SOOC.

Super cool, though I have no clue what this is!!!

@viranod - it is a droplet of cooking oil - advocado oil actually. It picks up the light quite nicely.

Thanks for the information about the magnifying glass. I appreciate it.

This is very cool. I like the dot in this one, but the clarity in the other I think is better. No idea how you achieved this, but really great.

I can not believe these photos are SOOC. They are very cool looking. I can't imagine how you did them, so I can't offer any advice, but I do like the one with the oil drop better.
May 3rd, 2011
Fantastic! Love those colors!
May 3rd, 2011
i like the sharp focus of the other one, but the oil drop adds a lot to the photo. so are you going to keep us all in suspense or tell us how you did it? =P
May 4th, 2011
Neat photo!
May 4th, 2011
cool

Very cool. I prefer the other one though - not because of the oil in this one but because the lines are sharper in the other.

How did you create those lines? My immediate thought was a prism but a prism typically creates continuous light rather than discrete beams.

Love the colours and lines, instant Fav.
