The buttoned mouth emoticon was the closest I could find to convey that I'd belted up as per title instruction - without 'saying' anything. Kind of mime equivalent . A bit too cryptic perhaps. Please excuse my daftness. :-)
@dulciknit - I got it, I LOL'd which is why I did the muffled Hmmmm thing. But everyone else has missed the point. I wondered if it is the language thing. It's a slightly different language across the pond. People may have assumed I am more literal than humorous in the very ironic British way. Also they may not recognise the saying.
