Yesterday you saw...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yesterday was an old Champagne Cork. Actually, the cork from the bottle cracked at my 21st birthday party - a long time ago. Our tradition is to keep a Champagne cork from significant family events. The bottom of the cork is split and a coin is pressed into the split. Then the wire restraint is re-twisted over it to keep it in place. The date and event is penned onto the cork and they are all kept for good luck. I have got dozens now. A nice reminder of all the family special events over the years. And, they are in the chest of draws next to my bed! So not a 'bad' patient!
You can see the unobscured version here...
I admit that one was hard. But if I had not obscured it you could have read "Champagne" on the top! What fun would that have been?
OK - top marks and well spotted to the following...
Howard N; Mair; Sue Wilde; Steven Galvin; judith deacon!!!
Well done you eagle-eyed bunch. Yahaya!
Honourable mentions to...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lots of inventive ideas, too numerous to mention... so here are the best!
Paula Cook-Farkas - I will go with my gut response...what I thought it was from the thumbnail. THE DEATH STAR! Net says:-->> A special award! You are the winner of the "Photographic SCI-FI Obscura Award!". (No, I've no idea either)... Yahayaa!!! LOL...
Katherine Ann Klinck - I think it's a magic bullet that can take down an army of zombies!!!... or maybe a ball bearing ? Net says:-->> Well, which one is it? ...? Time's up. Neither! ROFL....!!!
Rick Schies - I am going way out on the limb with this guess, but I once had an old toy airplane, and this looks like it could be part of the propeller mounting. Net says:-->> Wow! Obscure or what! Nevertheless, a Doohicky Award!!! YahahaY!!! LOL...
Paula Brumbe - I was so going to go with Death Star too, but since I was watching the Ricardo Montalban Star Trek movie that have the Fantasy Island scare factor going on, I need to go a different direction. I have decided that it is the thing that the guys from Star Trek hold when they are transported to the exotic desert planets so that they can return safely. Net says:-->> Sorry, Rick, I thought yours was obscure! Anyway, a Doohicky Award!!! YahahaY!!!
Nancy Holte - ...My second guess is that it's the dial on a safe. Net says:-->> Bizzarro! I have no idea where that came from. Nope! Nothing like that... LOL!
Alta D© - My horoscope today says it's my lucky day, so i have to guess this is a barbell plate! Net says:-->> Wow! Heavy guess!! Wrong! LOL.
lorihiro - I'm stumped! Net says:-->> No, not a tree stump! ROFL...
Thanks for your wonderful and fun ideas. It keeps me amused. I hope you had fun too.
Everyone, thank you for your support and good wishes. I am definitely improving.
