Yestderday you saw...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, yesterdays 'Identify This' photo seemed more difficult than I thought. It was in fact the works inside a barometer. You will notice the bigish round item behind all the other parts. That is an air box called an aneroid cell. It is sealed so that changes in external air pressure cause it to expand or collapse. The lever mechanisms scale this movement up to the barometer indicator hand on the face of the instrument. There is a very simular one to mine here...
Tashy - Time machine. Net says:-->> Oooops! No, but a Doohicky Award! Yaahy!
Vicki K - It's part of the inner workings of a Temporal Vortex. Net says:-->> So very nearly got it with vortex - that is what a cyclone is really, in shape at least. OK... a Doohicky Award! Yaaaaahy!
judith deacon - Completely off the wall, is it part of the braking system of a bike? Net says:-->> I did not see that one coming, even after you said it. But it is so far out I will give it a Doohicky award!!! Yahoooooeeeeak!!!
Camille Bisson - looks similar to where the film picks up and loads into the reel on reel-to-reel, but not quite - maybe part of a dentist's secret torture kit. Net says:-->> Excellent LOL. A dastardly and fiendish Doohicky award for you!!! Mega-yayyyyyaaaaa!
Howard N - I just disassembled a Rolex watch to see if the innards matched up to your image. It didn't, and in reassembling I have 13 parts left over. I do think it is the guts of some kind of time measuring device however or maybe some kind of detonator!!! LOL. Net says:-->> LOL Nice one. OK, since you did not get your Rolex back together I will award you an incredibly valuable "Doohicky Award!" Yeeeha!!! I think you will agree that is more than ample compensation for a damaged Rolex! LOL.
I laughed a lot tonight. Thanks everyone. I hope you had fun too.
See you tomorrow.
Enjoy!
