Tonight is more of an aid to a gentle evening than last night! What is the object tonight?

The day before Yestderday you saw...

Some of you were confused with my choice of "Manfrotto 035 Super Clamp". I gave you a link, however, some of you were still perplexed. To help you understand this piece of equipment I have provided a set of 30 photos showing the Manfrotto Super Clamp in use...

Yestderday you saw...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
More people than I thought have got this one. I thought it was an unusual object. It was a Japanese fresh ginger grater. Although it can be used for other things it is not a good zester etc. as most zest bits clog it up. It is specifically designed to be good at fiberous things like ginger. So there you are, a lesson learned.
Some people got it absolutely right. They were...
lorihiro; Lee Gordon; Reba; Shanne; Steven Galvin
Honorable mentions to...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sue Roth - an old washboard for barbie clothes Net says:-->> Excellent. LOL. a "Doohicky Award!" Yahooooooo! LOL

Brad Johnson - The constitution in Braille? Net says:-->> Oooops! No, but a Doohicky Award! Yaahy!

Keith MacKenzie - An ancient Aztek Perpetual Calendar? Net says:-->> Ha ha ha! Definitely a Doohicky Award! Yaahhhhhhy!

Howard N - This hand held device is used to abrade rough edges on Manfrotto 035 Super Clamps (should they get out of the factory prior to a final inspection...) however it might also be used to scratch the balls of your feet (one at a time). But on a serious note... judging from the hole in the upper right of your image, this is what you hang on a hook somewhere and forget you have whatever it might be! Net says:-->> ROFL> Sorry to have damaged your view of essential studio equipment Howard! How about "Studio Equipment Lovers Award of the Day!" Yippppeyaaa!!! FOFL!

mittens (Marilyn) - Maybe a cheese grater? Net says:-->> Wow! How quickly would that clog up? LOL...

Danielle Greenwood - nope no idea, none, zip....nice pic tho', maybe a weapon for self defence when the boogie man arrives? Net says:-->> Excellent, LOL> I can picture myself fighting off a bogie man with a ginger grater! A Doohicky Award! Yaahy! ROFL...

Vicki K - God knows.....hold on I'll go ask him and get back to you!! Net says:-->> Any answer yet? LOL...

Alta D© - I'm going with washboard. Net says:-->> Tiniest washboard in the world. It measures 4inches x 2inches! LOL...

Alison Bailey - Using my famous powers of deduction - ... Or a soap dish. Net says:-->> Hugely funny soap dish. Great idea, at least the soap would not slide off those spikes. LOL> a "Doohicky Award!" Yajabahooooo!!!

Kathy A - Does that say something in Braille? Net says:-->> Yes, it says "Sharp spikes for imapaling ginger!" LOL.

DavidCHR - A bed pan for uncooperative patients: "play nice, sir, or you're getting the spikey bed pan again!" Net says:-->> LOL... Naughty, naughty! You get tonights "Ass Roughner Award!" LOL... Yeeeha!

Ian Busuttil - perhaps it's the rear of a ceramic door sign... Net says:-->> Oooops! No, but a Doohicky Award! Yaahy!

Paula Cook-Farkas - Ceramic grater! For the greater good of all things gratable! Net says:-->> LOL>... Not really its a ginger grater! LOL. For grating ginger of all things! Hee hee!

A Winged Wine Cork Extractor it is. One step up from the manual cork screw and struggle variety. An image shot with the G12 no doubt, and done so clearly I am confident in my answer.

Well, my first thought on this one is that it's a wine bottle opener. So, I'm going with that. And seriously, I had no idea there was such a thing as a ginger grater. The few times I've grated ginger I just used my cheese grater. Not sure how it worked really. I don't recall.

I found mine did not work very well. I now use a Microplane - being sure not to grate off my finger tips - it's scary sharp!
